SCOPE: Under direct supervision, maintains efficient patient flow and assists with patient care (i.e. vitals, assessments, procedures). Maintains physician’s schedule and performs tasks assigned by physicians; assists with general office tasks, including but limited to, answering phones, scheduling patients and addressing inbound faxes by moving documents to patient records and discussing documents with physicians when necessary. This position reports to the Office Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-National Certification in Medical Assistance or 3 month certification eligible in Medical Assistance which is in effect from date of hiring.
-Knowledge of medical practice and care to assist in giving patient care. Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
-Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Computer Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially word, excel, outlook; proficient in the use of eClinicalWorks, EMR software.
Customer Services Skills – Ability to use positive language, listens, and confirms customer satisfaction with the services being provided.
Interpersonal Skills – Able to get along well with co-workers and accept supervision; received positive evaluations from previous supervisors.
Flexible – Willing to try new things and interested in improving efficiency on assigned tasks.
Attention to Detail – Concerned with quality. Produce work that is orderly and attractive. Ensure tasks are completed correctly and on time.
