The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) supervises the Nursing staff and assists the Director of Nursing with clinical, financial, human resource, and quality assurance/performance improvement activities. The ADON also serves as a resource for the entire community regarding resident's cognitive and functional ability as it relates to living in our community.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manages all aspects of resident care
Sustains quality assessment/performance improvement programs
Ensures all clinical and technical aspects of care is performed in accordance with established policies, protocols, standards of care and practice, regulatory mandates, and within limits of the State Nurse Practice Act.
Responsible for documentation compliance; ensures proper documentation in clinical record per established policies and procedures.
Participates in resident and family education and counseling
Provides case management of residents in the care venue
Responsible to cover shifts as a staff nurse, when required
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Graduate from a School of Nursing for Registered Nurses. Current FL RN License.
Minimum of 3 years experience working with the geriatric population. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
CPR/AED certification
