San Mateo County’s Health System is seeking qualified candidates for the positions of Psychiatric Social Worker/Marriage & Family Therapist I/II.
Correctional Health Services: Position works in the Maguire Correctional Facility located in Redwood City. This is a part-time, 20-hour per week position on the evening shift that includes alternate weekends. Requires security clearance as a condition of employment. Spanish speaking is preferred.
This position provides clinical mental health services to inmates with mental illness or co-occurring disorders of mental illness and chemical dependency; works independently and as a team member; and collaborates with the Sheriff’s Office staff to manage inmate patients’ daily activities.
Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Youth Services Division: Position is located in East Palo Alto. This is a part-time, 30-hour per week position that requires fluency in Spanish.
This position will provide specialized psychiatric assessment, case management, counseling and therapy services in outpatient settings or the community. In this role, you will primarily work with youth, adolescents and families from the Hispanic/Latino community, but some time may be spent providing services to adults.
Behavioral Health & Recovery Services Adult/Older Adult Services Division: Position is stationed in San Mateo, but travels throughout the County to provide services. This is a full-time position on the OASIS (Older Adult System of Integrated Services) Team requiring fluency in Spanish.
This position will provide intensive case management to assist older adult clients with serious mental illness in managing complex medical problems, cognitive impairment, functional limitations, substance abuse issues and day-to-day challenges to enable them to remain living in community-based settings. Will provide field-based services to older adult clients with serious mental illness at their place of residence throughout San Mateo County.
License Requirements:
PSW I – Current California registration as a Clinical Social Worker Associate (ASW).
MFT I – Current California registration as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern (IMF).
PSW-II – Current California license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
MFT II – Current California license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT).
